[Addendum] Re: kernel hiccup on usb palm disconnect

Hi folks, that last post was very hastily written (screaming
children) and misleading.

soime more info:

- while the kernel bug is a bummer, even worse is the fact that I
can't sync the palm AT ALL. when I first started experimenting with
this, pilot-xfer -p /dev/ttyUSB0 -l worked well; now, somehow, that's
been broken.  Also, I was able to get the user ID from the device;
that too is busted now. In the present circumstances gpilotd spits
back errors and sometimes dies; in any case, nothing ever seems to
travel over /dev/ttyUSB*, at least not according to
cat /dev/ttyUSB[0,1]

IS there anyone out there who has a Palm V working at all under
dapper? If so, I'd really love some help...

matt
