You seem to have /usr/local/bin/Xgl as the command in gdm.conf, either
change [server-Standard] back to "command=/usr/bin/X -br -audit 0" or
change the Xgl path to /usr/bin/Xgl instead of /usr/local/bin/Xgl (most
of the recent Xgl packages put the binary there instead
of /usr/local/bin)
