Dapper Drake xserver fails

Hi,

I have a DELL Inspiron 5100 on which Ubuntu 5.10 worked fine. SInce I got a
brand new DELL I decided to first try DD out on the old model. SInce the
CDROM does no longer work, I changed the breezy to dapper in the apt-list
config file and preceeded with an dist-upgrade. Everything seemed to work OK
until I rebooted and found that no X screen is available. The xserver is not
working, neither with its own detected xorg.conf file or with the one from
Ubuntu 5.10.

How can I downgrade the xserver part to the one used in Ubuntu 5.10 so that I
get a workable display again?

Or does anyone has a working xorg.conf file for the Dapper release for this
DELL Inspiron 5100.

Tx/Alain
