Aterm on 5.10

Folks,

I've just come over to Ubuntu from another distro, and as I was
recreating the software array I previously used, I noticed aterm has
lost the color differentiation it made between files, directories,
executables, and symlinks. No additional calls in the command line were
needed to do this. Am I missing a library? Or is there some difference
in distributions that would have aterm's text on Ubuntu plain ole black
on white? BTW, I'm using aterm 1.0 installed from the tarry geezer.

Best,

Pete
