There is no DEB package for the latest version of xmcd, so if you REALLY need the latest version, you'll need to follow the instructions on the xmcd site here: http://tinyurl.com/ozmqx But there are good CD players available in Ubuntu, which may be why that package is no longer maintained. -- zerohalo
