I'm using a kernel 2.6.15-19 with KUbuntu Dapper Drake. Why the
linux-headers-2.6.15-19-386 package doesn't exist?
I have tried to install the 2.6.15-21-386, whose linux-headers package
is in the repositories, but during the boot process it is uncapable to
mount the root device (maybe because my laptop has a sata hdd).
Does anybody know what can I do to resolve my problems? Can I install
the linux-headers-2.6.15-19-383 package from the Debian Sid
repositories?
P.D: I have installed linux-386 and linux-headers-386, but during the boot
the usplash puts "Mounting root file system... " and then "Waiting for
root file system..." and keep waiting still I halt manualy the
computer.
[Update] If i wait a long time, the usplash desappears and I see an
error message "ALERT! /dev/sda1 does not exist. Dropping to a shell!",
and I have been redirected to a BusyBox v1.01 :-)
With the kernel 2.6.15-19, that was installed when I installed ubuntu,
this problem desappears. Where the problem can be?
Thanks in advance!
