Thanks for the tip. I have in fact looked at djbdns and some of the
other tools from Mr. Bernstein. I am impressed with all of them but I
need to know bind9 because the machines I have taken over are running it
and there exists an installed environment relying on it. Too hard and
dangerous at this point to rip and replace.
