OOOps... I was referring to the Properties box for one of my directories.
There are two tabs... Share & Sharing. One of them is web-exclusive, it
would seem, while the other is for samba. In the kcontrol module 'Internet &
Network | File Sharing' I am unable to turn the public web server off & get
rid of the icon in kicker.
At any rate, I took the quick solution b-4 the auto-backup happened & laid the
previous backup back on the box & reapplied the updates which I'd archived,
already. Whereas that worked, the public web server still cannot be turned
off. A couple KDE versions ago there was a 'Quit' option in the right-click
menu; now, there is only 'New Server' in that same menu.
