Has Ubuntu Replaced Windows on Your Box?

This laptop is completely Windows free and has been since I got it. The
XP installation was completely borked and wouldn't even reinstall from
the Acer Restore CDs. I tried Linux in several derivatives including
Ark, Mepis, Mandriva and Debian (for a total newbie that was the wrong
choice!!) before settling on Breezy Beta. 



Now running Dapper under Xubuntu and loving every minute of it.
However, I'm a lone wolf in the house! Wife has a Dell with XP and she
is happy. I have an XP desktop for video editing and games. The kids
all run XP due to the games issue. -  I can't afford to have anything
other than rock-solid  (from Windows - haha :confused:) for them and
they want gaming so they get the Windows installs. It makes hassles for
me since I need to  do the odd re-install for them - never managed to
get an XP install last more than a year before it is totally
disfunctional but it keeps me off the streets :rolleyes:
