NO SOUND!!

alright guys got it fixed by setting everyting to ALSA-- thanks. VLC still
had no sound until i removed the following option "use the s/pdif audio
output when available" then it worked...uses stereo now. but i would still
like to know which software to use to copy my dvds. i thought i could use
K3B but it doesn't have an option to copy dvds. i used dd to make an image
and then burn it with k3b but the playback on that copy was horrible, so i
need another option.
