Only the fact that, in my experience. syslog-ng works.  One other interesting 
fact: Gentoo dumped sysklogd (or whatever it is called) in favor of 
syslog-ng.  Why?  The sysklog wasn't working properly.  Since I used Gentoo 
for a year(+) I  had heard of syslog-ng.
