I get the feeling it's a lot better and nearer to completion than that.
No guarantees, whinging or crying of course if it does break, but the
one thing that obviously seems to be undergoing change is the 'install'
function. That was the first (and yet only) thing that didn't work
flawless: I tried to do manual partitioning and it got a bit weird, with
an error message in Spanish even though that language isn't installed
and I'm not in Spain. :) ("Somepartthingos Duplicados!" :)

I then removed those partitions, left 15 Gb free unpartitioned space and
let Ubuntu do it by itself, which worked great. (Only the boot menu got
installed on the disk that has Ubuntu on it which is not the one that
gets booted by the BIOS... But after changing the boot priority to that
drive it worked fine, also my existing Windows installation).

As the repositories used seem the same ones as for the final release, I
bet things will just keep on working if I just update. Worst case seems
to me that I would have to do a command line 'upgrade' or update of
everything?

Cheers,
Chanchao
