That's one of the most misinformed replies I've ever seen here. Numerous
winmodems, winprinters, and winNics are "supported" under linux. LT Modems
were one of the first such devices, though, iirc there are different kinds
and not _all_ of them work. However, if it worked under Red Hat, it can
work under Ubuntu. I have an LT modem, but I've never actually used it, so
I can't help.
