Enterprise Ubuntu

I don't know of any "Enterprise" version. There is a server specific
version, but it utilizes the same repos. I did find this (emphasis
mine)

"In addition to the regular six-monthly releases, the Ubuntu team
_may_ make an Enterprise Release (based on an existing time-based
release) that has received additional stabilisation, polish and
translation work. These Enterprise Releases will be supported for a
longer period than the standard 18 month support of the time based
releases. Upgrades will be supported from enterprise release to
enterprise release."

I don't think you'd be getting "Join so-and-so domain" functionality
out of the box though. Sounds more like stability. I have one
departmental web server authenticating against AD. It's been awhile
since I set it up. This is not the article I found originally, but it
is geared towards desktop use:

lighttpd (from apache2, php5). I'm pleased with that so far. Only
played with Tomcat.
