this is consistent with my dpkg.log for the same upgrade, what is the
most recent kernel in /boot ? if its the 15-25 check
your /boot/grub/menu.lst for the correct entry, if its not present do a
sudo update-grub

it may seem like a silly question but have you rebooted?
