You can also use gmane.org as your nntp server and your favorite
newsreader to read this and many other lists. In my case, I use
thunderbird.

The advantage of this approach is that I "pull" the messages when I am
ready to read them instead of messages being "pushed" into my email,
which is really inconvenient when I am away from my computer and need to
use webmail.

Of course, I don't mind a [ubuntu-users] tag being appended to the
subject of each message.
