Only a user's terminal is available from that menu. Use that terminal,
and you can then either;

	1. create a password for root so you can use 'su'
	2. use sudo anywhere you need to be root

The first option means you need to know about setting passwords in
UNIX-like environments. The second option means you know how to edit the
sudoer's file with visudo. If you are not familiar with these tools,
here are two helpful commands;

$ man passwd

and 

$ man sudo

Now that you can construct a proper sudoer's file, with help from 'man
sudo', you can edit necessary networking files.
