Thin client works!

Hey,

Finally the thin client works. It boots completely. Now this is really 
weird, the problem was on the *client*. I replaced the entire computer 
by a different one (but kept the same NIC) and that one boots correctly.

This is really strange because the clients don't do anything (they are 
just thin clients). Notice, the problem is not the NIC because I used 
the same one on the new machine. It's not the hard disk because that 
doesn't get touched. What could possibly go wrong on the thin client 
that would make it not mount the filesystem? That's bewildering.
