Samba migration [OT?]

Hi all,

I posted this question to the Samba mailing list and got only one 
response, and it was pretty vague.

What I'm trying to do is migrate from Mandrake Linux 10.0 to Ubuntu 
(currently 5.10). I'm working to draw up a migration plan that will 
allow me to move all the data, Linux user and group accounts, Samba user 
and computer accounts (it's a Samba 3 domain).

I haven't had much luck finding specific information for doing this. My 
biggest concern is whether or not the domain information will 
transfer--that is, I don't want to have to touch every computer in my 
office in order to make this change.

Can anyone offer me any feedback as to how I can pull this off?
