If you have other windows managers installed then you just need to put a 
  different line in your config.
In the user home folder of the remote machine there is a file .vnc/xstartup

Edit this:
comment out the gnome-session & with a # at the start of the line
and put in one of the following depending on which one you want:

icewm &
startkde &
x-window-manger &

You should be able to figure out an others from this concept if you have 
a different one in mind.
