Hello list,
I've got a slight problem dist-upgrading from Breezy to Dapper.
Whenever I'm trying to install ubuntu-desktop I get at some point this error
message:
Unpacking libgl1-mesa (from .../libgl1-mesa_6.4.1-0ubuntu8_i386.deb) ...
dpkg: error processing
/var/cache/apt/archives/libgl1-mesa_6.4.1-0ubuntu8_i386.deb (--unpack):
unable to create `./usr/lib/libGL.so.1.2': No such file or directory
dpkg-deb: subprocess paste killed by signal (Broken pipe)
Errors were encountered while processing:
/var/cache/apt/archives/libgl1-mesa_6.4.1-0ubuntu8_i386.deb
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
A package failed to install. Trying to recover:
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of libgl1-mesa-dri:
libgl1-mesa-dri depends on libgl1-mesa (= 6.4.1-0ubuntu8); however:
Package libgl1-mesa is not installed.
dpkg: error processing libgl1-mesa-dri (--configure):
dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
Errors were encountered while processing:
libgl1-mesa-dri
I deleted the file from from apt's cache, and tried again, but the message
is still the same. Apparently this file:
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/m/mesa/libgl1-mesa_6.4.1-0ubuntu8_i386.deb
is somehow faulty.
Can anyone else confirm this?
