problems with upgrading gnome-sessions [Dapper]

Hi Shelagh,

I had a similar problem some time ago with gnome-session and solved it by
totally removing the package and configuration with

sudo apt-get remove --purge gnome-session

Then reinstalled it with

sudo apt-get install gnome-session

This worked for me: - as they say, "Your Mileage May Vary" ...
