gnome-power-manager issue

Hello!
After a recent apt-get upgrade I've got a problem with
gnome-power-manager. While my laptop is either charging or discharging
the battery, gnome-power-manager shows only the state at which it was
started and doesn't update the tray icon. For example, if I've used
the laptop the whole day on battery, then shut it down, then boot it
with the adaptor on, gnome-power-manager shows the discharged battery
and stays like that all the time.
gnome-power-manager version:2.14.3-0ubuntu11
While gnome-power-manager doesn't update its readings,
/proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/state is updated regularly with correct
information about the current state of the battery.
acpi-support version: 0.85
Thanks.
