How to add user and root password

Hi albi,

Tks for your advice.

> you can boot from the live-cd, then do the following :

> - mount your linux-partition
> - use : chroot to chroot into your linux-partition
> - type in : passwd root

If boot Ubuntu-6.06 amd_64 installer/LiveCD.  I can't login as root to
run "chroot".  Unless I run Knoppix or other LiveCD which can be su as
root.  If I'm wrong please correct me.  TIA
