What is you question? Your drive should work perfectly. Nero is not
driver software it is software to write discs. You can get Nero for
Linux but don't bother. Ubuntu has K3b in the repos which is superb. In
a terminal type the following command:
sudo aptitude install k3b
After installation run the K3b setup, and OK it. Then start K3b, happy
burning.
