This probably isn't the best place to post this problem. If anyone knows
of a better place I would appreciate a pointer.

I'm running dapper drake on a Compaq Presario V2000 (or at least this
series) with an AMD turion 64 processor. It has an ATI Radeon XPRESS 200M
video card. I've installed the fglrx module and related stuff from the
ATI website. I've also set up the laptop to run as a dual headed display
so I can plug in the monitor on my desk and use that instead of the LCD
monitor while at home. This all seems to work without any problems.

The only issue is that the pointer on the second desktop shows up as a
square full of noise instead of an arrow. I thought this would be easy to
fix by adding the option "SWCursor" "on" to the xorg.conf file. When I do
this gdm starts up fine, but after I log in the X server crashes with the
error:

BUG: Scheduling while atomic

This message is repeated over and over until I reboot.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
