slight networking problem with linux

yes actually,i do use a gateway,but man route doesnt ring a bell with me,anywher in that manual that has it?

  As I re-read your message, the word "gateway" comes to mind.  Do a "man route" from a terminal window ("man ifconfig" would not be bad either)..
