Live CD/DVD Doesn't Work?!?!

I reburned with the standard AMD-64 image from another mirror, with the same results. I guess I'm off to find a different distro.

Download the ISO from a different mirror, and burn again.  If that
doesn't solve your problem, I suspect there is a hardware issue that may
not have a solution ..
