cdda2wav CD-TEXT problem...

I am having the same problem, not only with ripping the CD-Text CDs I've
made from old vinyl, but displaying the artist/title in a player. The
only ripper I have found that recognized the CD-text data is 'cdrdao'
which doesn't rip individual tracks, but one big data file with a
TOC/cue file which indexes into it.

IIRC, the old Turbolinux systems I used several years ago with 2.4
kernels would display and extract the data, particularly 'grip'.
Unfortunately, I have updated all systems to Ubuntu with only a couple
of Turbolinux 10 systems (2.6 kernel) which display the same problem as
Dapper.

If you find a Gnome-based fix, please share it with the rest of us.
