I think not.  I searched for Core Duo processors and came up with
products that say "Socket 478" but this board says "Socket T (LGA
775)".

It might be getting too far out on the bleeding edge to do dual core
right now.  I mean, aren't those chips only a few months old?  I bet
that market becomes easier to navigate in a year.  I would stick with
a mere Pentium 4 3GHz with an 800 MHz FSB.  And throw a lot of RAM at
it for good measure.  Fast disks help too.
