I promise you Tomcat and a JavaSDK have absolutely NOTHING to do with
your monitor and that pressing that magic "auto" button on your monitor
was the fix.
FWIW, I have the same problem on my LCD when switching between different
OS'es on the KVM. They all use *fractionally* different scan
frequencies, so when switching, the screen looks "fuzzy". Then I hit
the "auto" button on the LCD, it jiggles and twitches for a second, then
everything is back to its crispy best :)
