Follow-up re:Firefox and Mozilla helper applications

Just to add - after you have edited anout:config as I suggested, try going
to a site with known shoutcast ( *.pls) links ( like shoutcast.com
(doh) ;-) When you click a stream link you should get a popup asking what
app to use ( defaults to rhythmbox here ). Since you want beep instead,
enter /usr/bin/beep-media-player here. This dialogue is a pain since it
requires you to use the file chooser to select beep. If you hit ctrl + L
you can short-circuit the process somewhat by typing in the full path.

This is very user-unfriendly in my view, and I've seen some discussion of
it on the -devel list. Hopefully a saner way of choosing will be
implemented. 

After you have done all these  <sarcasm> *highly intuitive*
</sarcasm> steps, the relevant entry should show in your downloads
preferences. ;-)
