Changeover from dialup to Road Runner problems.

I use Road Runner with the external modem supplied by Road Runner and I
have a Linksys router...Linux automatically detected all the network
configurations.   You might want to go into
System---Administration---Networking and disable your dialup modem and
make sure your ethernet connection is enabled(active).  Also, highlight
the ethernet connection and click on properties, and make sure DHCP is
selected.



Thunderbird:  your incoming mail server should be something like

"pop-server.triad.rr.com"



your outgoing mail server:

"smtp-server.triad.rr.com"



triad.rr.com is mine, check your email address to see what yours is.



account name is your email name prior to the @

you'll need to enter your password to access RR
