Ubuntu a poor choice for servers

1.  If you are talking about a server that will be exposed to the internet, 
they I would recommend you hire someone who knows what they are doing.  
Failing that, for internet exposed servers, use a hosting providerwho will 
ensures their servers are administered securely.

2.  If you are talking about a server for internal use, then even without 
dedicated IT staff is not unreasonable.   Xandros server is one to 
consider.  Xandros installations are typically more oriented towards novice 
users, recent Windows refugees, and integration with Windows networks.  
Xandros is not as free as Ubuntu.  That may or not be a major consideration 
for you.
