is video card compiz/XGL compliant?

Is there a utility or test to see if my video card is possibly 
compiz/xgl compliant?

or should  virtually everything work but slowly?

All the documentation seems to assume either an ATI or NvIDIA video 
card. Mine is the mobo Intel chip:
lspci
0000:00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation
82845G/GL[Brookdale-G]/GE Chipset Integrated Graphics Device (rev 03)

Is there another way (utility? command?) to display the name of my vid 
card and it's capabilities?
