I don't care about having both, but I can't figure out how to get 2.x
at all.

When I say, with my /etc/apt/preferences file that pins tetex-base and
tetex bin to 2.0.2, "apt-cache policy tetex-base tetex-bin
tetex-extra", I get:

tetex-base:
  Installed: (none)
  Candidate: (none)
  Package pin: (not found)
  Version table:
     3.0-15ubuntu1 1001
        500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com dapper-updates/main Packages
     3.0-15build1 1001
        500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com dapper/main Packages
tetex-bin:
  Installed: (none)
  Candidate: (none)
  Package pin: (not found)
  Version table:
     3.0-13ubuntu6 1001
        500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com dapper/main Packages
tetex-extra:
  Installed: (none)
  Candidate: 3.0-15ubuntu1
  Version table:
     3.0-15ubuntu1 0
        500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com dapper-updates/main Packages
     3.0-15build1 0
        500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com dapper/main Packages

So I'm guessing that the dapper repository doesn't have anything as
ancient as tetex 2.0 in it, and I need to enable some other
repository, but I don't know how to do that (and not get lots of other
ancient stuff cluttering up my system).
