This was made clear before. In fact, this discussion is actually on how to
work around that.
Perhaps I didn't make my assumptions clear, so I apologi[sz]e.
I assume kernel *tools* will be updated. I can't really picture any reason why
that would'nt, unless for backward compatibility. And if something changes,
it won't be in a 2.6 family. Probably only when the 6 turns to 8, or the 2 to
3.
