Just as in Debian, he official kernel of Dapper will not change except
for security issues, and will remain 2.6.15.* over the whole lifetime of
Dapper. If a user wants a new official kernel, he'll have to go with
Edgy

Sure, but it sucks doing all the work of configuring and compiling
(especially of a user has never done it before) just to find out on
reboot that it was for nothing
