where did you read that ? while it is true that we ship a lot of gpl'ed
software, we also ship software under *many* other licenses i.e. the
ubuntu artwork is licensed under a creative commons license, we also
ship software under bds and other licenses. on the CD only bits that
have a license that allows free distribution are included, so what do
you complain about ? there is *no commitment at all* anywhere on any of
the official pages that we'd only ship GPLed software, probably you
should contact RMS, who is looking for volunteers for a 100% gpl'ed
ubuntu derivative.
