visual studio for linux

hi list

i am trying to use Anjuta do make a GUI that will connect to a msyql
DB but i cant even start writing code because i try use the wizzard to
make a project & the wizzard always fails

i have had to add a lot of development packages in synaptic but some
of them have conflicts. is there a package i can install & it will be
a complete IDE jsut like visual studio
