xorg 7.1 in edgy

I don't know, better to ask them on -devel to get first hand info... I
don't think they have time to read -users (or maybe like me, one message
in 20, to get an overview), or if they do then that's a lot of time not
spent on Edgy, which as you said is already rather short of dev
time ! ;-)

My gut feeling is that it's not anymore difficult to use 7.1 rather than
7.0 or any version, so it's a false problem.
And every release is bleeding edge anyhow, with the major peace of the
distro, Gnome, being integrated continuously until the very last days.

So I think Edgy isn't any more stressful than other releases, and they
just reduced the workload as required/needed to fit the tight
schedule...

Hopefully some dev is reading this and can correct the above as
required ;-)
