Anyone know qemu?

No, I don't. I gave up *VERY* early, because even on the test images
they provide, network doesn't work - or at least I couldn't get it
to work; that's probably more like it....

Anyway. I gave up and switched to vmware server - which doesn't work
either on my notebook. So, that was quite a success... :(
