printing cups and more

i know but that does not seem the right way to go and the lack of info
on the manual on how to handle cups via the browser

the issue i have is that the printer is randomly printing lots of test pages,
the test page is not the one cups print nor the one gnome-print with ubuntu logo
its an hp640 test page from HP.

but the funny thing no info in the logs come up.
the printer is an hp640C
