Just tried to install wpasupplicant. Got this:
/bin/sh: line 1: 20819 Segmentation
fault /usr/sbin/dpkg-preconfigure --aptSelecting previously
deselected package wpasupplicant.
(Reading database ... 124088 files and directories currently installed.)
Unpacking wpasupplicant
(from .../wpasupplicant_0.4.5-0ubuntu1_i386.deb) ...
Setting up wpasupplicant (0.4.5-0ubuntu1) ...
/var/lib/dpkg/info/wpasupplicant.postinst: line 24: 20833 Segmentation
fault update-rc.d wpasupplicant defaults >/dev/null
dpkg: error processing wpasupplicant (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 139
Errors were encountered while processing:
wpasupplicant
As far as I can tell, this means that it has not installed the SysV
startup and kill links, and has not invoked the daemon. The startup
script itself, the program, the man pages and the config files have all
been installed OK.
Regards, K.
