Network Manager is too verbose in syslog

I now found, that *something* (nm, I suppose) executes wpa_supplicant
like this:

alexander at knospe:/var/log$ ps awux|grep -i wpa
root      9441  0.0  0.1   3340  1396 ?        S    20:57   0:00 /sbin/wpa_supplicant -dd -g /var/run/wpa_supplicant-global

Because of the "-dd", I get all those messages.

How and where do I configure how wpa_supplicant is to be executed? Or
how do I make wpa_supplicant be less verbose (which would mean to *NOT*
run it with "-dd"...)?
