Ubuntu printing

I can't seem to print anything properly. The page alignment is all over the
place.
Sometimes I get 3 or 4 inches of white space at the top of the page.
Sometimes
it prints before the begining of the page and I also get printing off to the
right so that
it crops the right hand side. It is consistant from the same application but
I have
never had a good print.

I'm using ubuntu 6.06, and cups Version: 1.2.0-0ubuntu5. My printer is
Epson Stylus R210

I have tried printing from the command line, from gnucash and from firefox.
All
are bad.

Any ideas?
