Why is xorg ignoring the frequencies I give it?

1. 85Hz has never worked reliably. It always ends up as 87Hz. You can
try specifying NoDDC and then reducing the vertrefresh manually to say
83Hz which will probably drive the monitor at 85Hz.

2. Or, you can try specifying your own 1600x1200 modeline.

3. Yes, agpgart support hasn't been added to any recent kernel.
