sugg. re: update manager UI: show current (old) version of updateable packages

A peeve of mine in Update Manager: when updates are available, there
is no indication of what the currently installed version is. For
instance: the last time I ran Update Manager, I had only one package
reported upgradeable, so I got a (quite pleasant) notice:
"kino
non-linear editor for Digital Video data
New version: 0.80-1ubuntu2~breezy"
What I'd like in addition is some indication of what I have installed
NOW. I might not want to spend bandwidth on my part (or waste that of
others) on a very minor upgrade when I know it adds nothing important
to me.
Perhaps (as in the doctored screenshot attached) something like this:
"kino
non-linear editor for Digital Video data
New version: 0.80-1ubuntu2~breezy
(Currently installed version: 0.675-2thrubuntu6~wheezy3)"
Just a thought --
