Support for Sony SDM-S204 LCD monitor?

Hi,

 

I installed Ubuntu for the first time yesterday but unfortunately it did not
configure X correctly for my monitor so when it boots up my monitor tells me
that the signal is the wrong frequency. I can switch to console mode and I
tried changing the frequencies in my xorg.conf but that did not help.

 

Can anyone suggest how I can get the UI working? I'd be happy enough with
1024x768 for the moment just to get me started.
