The kernel headers - that is to say, the files that reveal the interface
to the kernel's internal functions. They're often regarded as the only
documentation as to how to use ALSA (or ALSA's OSS compatibility layer)
from code, because no formal documentation exists. If I had any clue
about ALSA, I'd write some, but I'm just an end-user of sound. :)
